Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. You can find out more about it by visiting their web pages here.
We are encouraging people to reflect on the Lord's Prayer, one line per day. We are reading the prayer as it is found in the gospels, using different translations of the Bible. Details are available in this document. You can find the videos here:
Ascension Day Our Father in heaven,
Friday hallowed be your name,
Saturday your kingdom come,
Sunday your will be done,
Monday on earth as in heaven.
Tuesday Give us today our daily bread.
Wednesday Forgive us our sins
Thursday as we forgive those who sin against us.
Friday Lead us not into temptation
Saturday but deliver us from evil.
Pentecost For the kingdom, the power, and
the glory are yours
now
and for ever. Amen.
