Bellringing

Practise night for bellringing is Tuesday from around 7:30 at St. Patrick's Church. You are welcome to come along and find out more.

The tower has eight bells.

Here is the view in the tower as the bells are being rung. Note that they are being rung half-muffled for Remembrance Day 2018.

Our ringers at St Patrick's tolled the tenor, half-muffled, for an hour at noon on Friday 9th September, 2022.

On Sunday morning for the service they rang fully muffled, with the tenor open at backstroke. This arrangement is only to mark the death of the sovereign or an incumbent priest or bishop. Our Tower Captain writes 'it’s the first time that I’ve heard the bells at Nuthall sound like this.'
